Not to undermine your opinion at all, but I think it's totally valid for OP to feel so frustrated by their stuttering that the issue is affecting their mental health. A person's ability to speak is such a fundamental part of functioning in a world that is so verbally driven. Our verbal abilities influence our interactions with family members, friends, peers, and can even affect our career opportunities, so being distressed over a speech impediment isn't as shallow as somebody wanting a boyfriend/girlfriend to magically cure their depression. I do think therapy may be beneficial for OP as they are describing suicidal thoughts, but I totally disagree when you suggest that the stutter isn't playing a significant role in their feelings. Perhaps we must agree to disagree!
