Hi, that is the tricky question I keep asking myself too. I think almost every stutter have contexts in which they don’t stutter so badly or at all. I don’t stutter with coworkers, but I do a lot if I am on a meeting with a client… I don’t stutter with my spouse, but a lot with his parents. And so on…. Maybe, maybe we judge ourselves based on their judgment about ourselves and the things we want to say, that the body protects us blocking and stuttering. ( my thoughts on it are based on my experience only)
