What weird timing for you to post this!! I was walking home from the gym a few minutes ago and was proudly thinking to myself, “I don’t ever substitute words anymore.” I used to always substitute words and the feeling of inauthenticity and not saying what I wanted to say how I wanted to say it felt worse than stuttering, so now I say what I want, how I want, and sometimes I stutter but is way better than substituting.
