Medication for Stuttering ********UPDATE 1******* Ok, so It has been 30 days I am on sertraline/zoloft. I fell less anxious in general, what is good. I also fell less afraid of what people will think about me. But I am not sure if my fluency level has improved. It looks almost the same to me. I will wasit foer the 60 days mark, and also to see how the go back to work/meetings will play out. I had the typical reactions (headaches, nausea and less libido). All three things are improving back to normal now. ********END OF UPDATE******* Hi all. So, I am a mild stutterer. Day to day stuff I stutter a little bit but does not bother me. When I have to talk to an authority figure, important meeting or presentation, I get very anxious - and sometimes I have symptoms of panic attack. And obviously, my stuttering gets worst. I don’t stutter when I am alone. The trigger of my stuttering is the fear of judgement from others. I have been using Proprenolol for those situations, and it helped (like 60%). I also started using DAF through iphone app/airpods, and that also helped. But I still get anxious about public speaking / meetings. Thats been the case for the last 20 years and I am bit tired of it. I started today taking Zolof, with the rational that maybe I have Social Anxiety and this is triggering my stuttering. I would like to know if anyone has recent experience with Zolof? I will update the progress here. Thanks all
