Am i making a irrational decision by stopping Speech Therapy Good day everyone, Long story short is I've been going to speech therapy for the past three months( with one appointment a month), and based on my first two appointments I'm contemplating quitting. My first appointment was treated like a more emotional evaluation of stuttering. I learned alot about my stutter. However, on my second appointment,i got introduced to a new doctor. So we basically repeated what was done the first time...not much was done to justify me going. An obstacle that arises is the financial strain of going to speech therapy, and navigating that as a Uni student is kinda tough. My question is am I making a irrational discussion by not going on my next appointment (which is tomorrow). The next appointment was set out to be more practical oriented, going around the hospital and applying certain speech techniques in conversations. Thing is, lately I've been putting myself in social situations more, meeting stranger around campus and actively working on my speech...which there have been major improvements. Is my decision valid? especially with Speech Therapy being such a rare resource in my country. Thank you for reading.
