Social anxiety has a better success rate of being effectively managed, even cured. That’s where you need to start. Even though both issues feed into each other. One improving will likely improve the other. You can be happy with a stutter, some people here can attest to that. But can you be happy with social anxiety? Probably not. Treating social anxiety usually involves therapy and meds. If you are otherwise healthy then I think you should give medication a shot. I was really reluctant to start meds, I had a lot of negative attitudes about it. I wish I tried it earlier though before things got as bad as they did. I don’t take them anymore because I don’t need to. It gets better. I hope you gain confidence in yourself so that you can “put yourself out there” more. Confidence will make dating easier but more importantly you will have a better quality of life.
