It depends on the person. For me, acceptance is pretty magical. I’ve even gotten to the point where I think stuttering is beautiful because it allows other people to know it’s okay to be different and vulnerable. It helps build trust people between because you can’t help but be vulnerable if you want to talk to them. Of course, that’s on my best days. On the worst days, I still hate stuttering. It’s all a process. Also maybe you know this, but it’s important to realize that for a lot of people, having a mindset that it’s okay to stutter is *actually a technique for stuttering less.* it’s a little mind-bendy, but roll with it. It’s the kind of thing where it won’t go away until you don’t care if it goes away or not! (Of course, that doesn’t apply to everyone. ) You can love talking while still stuttering. :) But I know some people just want a cure and that’s totally understandable too.
