For me it just makes my speech more situation-sensitive. Most of the other stutterers at my NSA group say their stutter eases up when drunk. I've noticed that mine does too for the first 15 minutes, but only if I'm among close friends. If I'm not actively socializing, I start tensing up and it gets much much worse.
