All those things you mentioned about your stutter are actually very very common! I bet you even avoid eye contact. If you are like most of us here, the issue is probably *only* that anticipatory fear causes bigger stutters (blocks, long pauses, long prolongations, even odd body movements). You mentioned this and you are correct! I used to do complex meta cognitive analysis about “triggers”, tried to control my articulators, and tried to do deep breathing. It all caused my stuttering blocks to get much worse because it was “enabling” me to avoid the core issue of this fear. By doing hard, free work *only* around the problem of anticipatory fear, I’ve gone from 100’s of blocks/day to only a few. Read through my recent comments here to learn more and ask me anything.
