Pretty much all of the neurological conditions that involve cognitive/linguistic abilities have a high male:female ratio. Stuttering, ADHD, autism, dyslexia, etc. We don't know why it is precisely that XY is so much more susceptible than XX. But, there it is. (It's also true that things tend to go undiagnosed more in girls, but even accounting for that, it's still likely an uneven ratio.)
