Well, it's totally fine to use as a "trick" on some occasions - but not all. Tricks have a tendency to lose their effectiveness if they become habitual. As for being stuck... this is something that might be improved. Maintenance requires patience, of course, but still - it's worth the potential benefit, I'd say.
