Why does this bug you? Filler words generally should be avoided. If you are blocking on shoe, saying um-um-um-um-um doesn't get you any closer to sshhh. This is not to say never do it. Generally speaking, filler words are just part of avoiding the block and often become a hindrance. I work with someone who doesn't stutter and leans on "um" between every sentence. They can not tolerate the sound of a pause. It really reduces the impact of what they are speaking about. It feels like the "ums" get louder and louder throughout the meeting. The ad is right.
