Yes, this is called 'Owning your stutter.' I do it to address the elephant in the room, befire the elephant has a chance to step in. Usually I give a quick explanation about it and say its okay, its normal, Im not siezing up. And then I go about with whatever my presentation is about. It helps me calm myself because now I know, that they know what is hapoening and is about to happen.
