Aha yes you're right! :P From an anxiety viewpoint it makes sense though. People naturally retreat from anxiety. So that's why stutterers shy away from talking. You have to cognitively rationalize it in your head - That the practice will benefit you. Right now I'm more interested in real world face-to-face practice though. Phone calls just don't feel the same way to me as practicing with someone in real life. The problem is, I just don't how to practice. It's not like there are people out there who are just waiting to listen to stutterers practice their speech. There has to be a context for it.
