You don't need to worry. Although I'm not necessarily an adult, I thought I would give some insight. I'm currently 22 and am studying Criminology in hopes to become a police officer. I've done an internship with a police department, and nobody minds that I have a stutter. I also have a girlfriend who has no problem with my stutter. Oddly enough, she even calls it cute at times.
