Since most impactful stutters (blocks, awkward pauses, odd body language etc) are the DIRECT result of trying way too hard to hide repetitions, as soon as you stop trying to hide them, you probsbly become more fluent. ​ So, yes. If the other person isn't ashamed to let you hear their stutter, that explains why it instantly improves around you
