I’m gonna go against the crowd here and say it causes more harm then good. Sure, you’ll be able to get around saying that phrase but in the long run all you’re doing is reinforcing the fear of stuttering on those words. This is coming from a guy that stutters on his name 90 percent of the time so I understand where you’re coming from. The first few times might suck but given enough practice it will improve. If I can tell you one thing, it’s that trying to avoid a speaking situation might give you temporary relief but in the long run it’ll worsen your speech.
