Daughter has stutter

Daughter has stutter Hi everyone. My 8 year old daughter has a stutter that will go away for months and then return. She also has trouble getting words out sometimes. She will be fine for about 6 months and then it comes back. This has gone on for years. Her last teacher wasn’t concerned and thought it was more emotional. Im trying to find ways to help her. She wanted me to research it and I haven’t found much. My mother did have a stutter when she was young so maybe it’s just genetic? It’s just weird that it completely goes away and then returns. Any thoughts?
