This happens to me all the time too! In fact, it just happened again a moment ago. I had a block while trying to say the word "astronomy", but when my brother said it a few seconds later, I was able to blurt it out immediately afterwards. It's definitely along the same mechanisms as the "choral effect" -- the phenomenon of stutterers being able to speak fluently when they're speaking in unison with others.
