Hello from the US. I’ve stuttered all my life, and have graduated from college a few months ago. Unfortunately it’s difficult to answer your question regarding what professors may or may not do, since each one is their own person. That being said, ALL of my college professors have understood I stuttered and worked with me accordingly. MOST adults I’ve interacted with don’t care if i stutter. I also don’t understand the “talk slow and train your jaw” outlook on stuttering. If it was that easy, we’d all have stopped stuttering years ago.
