Yeah, bethanechol is very useful at times. It basically eliminates anticholinergic side-effects from medication, and that’s important because that’s often the limiting side-effect for people taking medications that cause some anticholinergic symptoms, including amitriptyline and clomipramine. Those side-effects can be crushed directly and allow you to max out on any one medication and be fine. Choline supplements can help as well, and so can quite a few other things.
