I applied for my first job as a hostess, and yeah interviews are scary but I found that having confidence and being prepared makes me stutter less. If I know what I’m doing and have confidence in what I’m doing, I won’t have that hesitation and it will reduce the amount I stutter. Of course that is what works for me, it’s different with every person. Being a hostess is being the face of the company, and it involves talking to people, which is scary! I found that I would chose certain phrases that I stutter less on. So saying “how are you folks doing today?” Is better than “welcome to ___ how are you guys?” In my situation. I was very nervous working a job that I have to talk a lot in, and it was scary the first few shifts. But, it got better once I got the hang of it and figured it out. You got this!!!
