Here to tell you the answer is NO. I am a registered nurse I have to talk to Doctors, patients, family members, lab, radiology, and all the other coworkers. I do this in person and on the phone. Do I stutter like hell? Yep. Do I care… ehhh slightly. But I’m able to get my message across and help people. Outside of work it doesn’t matter but you will get the occasional “look” from strangers. But a great saying I live by is “never attribute to malice, what can be attributed to ignorance.” Basically I don’t assume people are judging but more so shock. TLDR: No it really doesn’t matter unless you make it matter to yourself. Everybody has their own issues and are more likely worried about their own issues than yours.
