Hi I'm 35 and I still stutter. I took speech therapy all through school and did really well. So well that I thought I didn't need it anymore. I still use some of the techniques I've learned. Some days its worse. Of course certain sounds/letters frustrate me as well. Growing up I got teased about it. Girls thought the stutter was cute though so I guess that was a plus. I've met one other person that stuttered. We both were really surprised to meet someone that was like us. People talk to me about it because it's something new to them. I had a friend in high school ask how i can read so fast cause he thought I stuttered in my mind also. What a dumbass but he didn't know any better. I've learned to joke about it and be mostly patient with people. Some people are idiots still. If other people are so bothered by the stutter then they can fuck off. And don't worry bout not being able to get a job. Employers/most coworkers won't care. They'll be cool about it. My job now I have to talk on airport radios where the whole place hears me. I mess up here and there still but it's all good
