Looking for a Film enthusiast to help me with my Undergraduate Thesis Hello, everyone. I'm a cinema student and about to do an undergraduate thesis. We’re expected to produce two outcomes: a thesis manuscript and a short film. I want to delve into analyzing the portrayal of stuttering in films, preferably within my region. I’ve read some articles and dissertations in the field of communication study that state how social stigma and negative stereotypes around stuttering are often exhibited in some films. With that in mind, I want to analyze if those variables are still present in the films I'll be selecting. By the way, I lived in the Philippines and I’ve been planning to analyze films in the region to narrow down my focus and contribute to the regional cinema industry in some way, but there is only one film about stuttering entitled “100 Tula para kay Stella” which I think is not enough. I still don't have a specific film theory to use as my theoretical framework that supports my proposed idea. Does anyone have some suggestions/recommendations considering the current situation I have? I still have a vague plan for my overall thesis, but I surely know that I want to create awareness of stuttering in my country through film. I hope someone could help me. Thank you
