I think that everyone should work in customer service or food service, just to understand what it's like. As a stutterer, it helped me to get out of my comfort zone. I worked at CVS for two years and I got used to asking people if they needed anything, and I even worked the register. I had a couple of older men tell me that they used to stutter. Interacting with different people will help you to desensitize yourself. Good luck! I really hope that you get this position.
