Stutter and your MBTI I was wondering about how my MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) has an effect on my stutter. I haven't done much research on it so currently I am inclined to believe that stutters span equally across all personality types. Even if this is true, I believe MBTI will still determine how one lets stutter effect their lives. For example, a naturally introverted person who does not value social contact much vs someone who is extroverted and has a greater need for socializing. Some might find ways to live with their stutter while others, out of need, will try to push themselves out of it or find better ways to cope up. I am myself an INTJ-T. For me I feel that the 'judging' bit gets in the way. I am very self-concision, constantly judging and believing that I am being judged. Its like I have an interesting story to tell but I would rather keep it to myself than face the embarrassment and shame of looking like a weirdo. Frustrating obviously. I am inclined to believe that those with a more perspective type (XXXP) might be better off here. Would love to hear thoughts.
