Create an identity statement. You behave and perform based on who you believe you are. Use your identity statement to reinforce who you want to be. Example identity statement - I am not afraid to stutter in front of other people - I can speak in a relaxed and confident manner - I do not avoid situations or words because of my stutter. Then whenever you are in a situation were you have to make a choice, think about what the person in the identity statement would do, and stick to it. You’re not alone, all PWS have similar thoughts and perceptions. What separates people is how they let it affect their life.
