I definitely feel that. It’s easier for me to speak fluently when I have something memorized and well thought out. It’s part of why slowing down and thinking about the entire sentence I want to say ends up being the most useful tool for me personally. At social events or most normal daily interactions, there’s an element of unpredictability, so I can’t implement a recited speech quite as practically.
