My whole life. And yes I've been to a few pathologists when I was younger. I've done the practice and it didn't help much. I'll admit I've stopped over the past few years, but I think it doesn't work much because I don't have a problem with fluency but I do have ptsd & trauma/anxiety..so maybe that comes into play for me & other stutterers.
