Going on a date with a man who stutters - best thing to say to put him at ease? Hi all, I do not stutter but I am going on a first date with a guy who stutters and he doesn’t know I know about it (one of my friends happens to know him from college). He hasn’t brought it up yet but I’m assuming it’ll come up either when we meet or just before. When it does finally get brought up, I’d like to say the best thing possible to put him at ease/let him know I like him just how he is. So my question for you all is, what would be the best thing a person in my shoes could say to make you feel comfortable, if you were him? (He’s a v cool guy with a good dry sense of humor so I need to make sure whatever I say is 0.0% cheesy too) Thanks so much! *also if he never brings it up I will obvs just carry on like it’s a regular date lol
