Yes. I think it is helpful as long as you stick with it. By doing this you’re releasing the fear and anxiety of speaking that developmental stutterers get as we get older. When you’re little you just stutter and don’t really think about it. Then we get older, self-conscious and learn to be anxious and avoidant about speaking. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy that many of us want to unlearn. Think about it. There’s your baseline stutter, then there’s your stutter when you’re emotional or stressed, tired, caffeinated 😂 whatever. Fight the good fight if you please! I basically did this, but I just called it “not giving a fuck”. My stutter is way more manageable now.
