What I usually do is transfer all the tension onto my eyes, which is why I usually have them wide open. A stutter is caused by a blood flow deficiency to the Brocca area of the brain. We can control it, but it is what it is. Try speech therapy, and if that doesn't work for you, then don't worry. We can talk slower than others, that's no issue.
