I stuttered when talking to a girl... So the other night I was at a nightclub and it took me a while (and some alcohol) but eventually I mustered enough courage to make a move on a girl on the dancefloor. She responded well and we kissed a bit then she pulled my hand and took me to the bar, I ordered us some drinks with minimal stutter. It was going great. I went to ask for her name and she asked me for mine. Now when I'm in a bad block sometimes my face puffs up a bit and I make a sound that is similar to when someone's about to throw up, in an effort to get the words out. You can probably guess what happened now. I blocked hard and I can only assume she thought I was going to throw up on her because she pulled away from me with a disgusted face and quickly walked off before I could even get a word out. I didn't see her again for the rest of the night. And I feel great, because this time, instead of doing nothing out of fear of stuttering, I did something. After all, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, and even though I missed this one, I gave myself a chance, which is more than I've given myself before.
