'Perfectly' fluent people can have a fear of speaking. Some stutters speak with confidence. No such thing as normal. I grew up with a severe stutter that persisted into my mid-20s. I chose to go back to speech therapy and achieve fluency then. I'm still a stutterer. I still have the occasional block. But my speech and fluency is no longer something that I think about. Sometime if I've been having recent difficulty with my fluency, I'll go back and work through some of the program steps. I don't know if it helps or not. But I interact with hundreds of people everyday and I speak with them. Most of it's brief and one-on-one. But I'd give a speeches to 30 and 100 person rooms. That's not something I would have ever even considered doing when I still have my disfluency.
