Hey man! Your experience will greatly vary depending on what kind of company you are trying to work for. I currently work for a medium-sized company and the interview process wasn't too bad. I definitely didn't speak completely fluently during my interviews, and the main points they focused on were my understanding of the "Magic Under the hood" and my overall coding ability. Now, if you are trying to apply to FANG, I don't have any experience with those interviews. I wouldn't be surprised if they put more emphasis on the speaking fluently part. Honestly, even if I didn't have a stutter I wouldn't work for those companies. Working for small/medium companies allows you to become close with the CEO and other leaders, and there's generally a lot more you can learn from these smaller companies. However, don't limit yourself based on my opinions. If you want to work for a FANG company, go and do it! You'll need to study endless leetcodes and practice your speech a lot. As you've seen in previous post here, there are people that stutter with jobs you'd never expect! There's CEO/Call Center/Emergency Line/ect... Best of luck with your interviews, you got this!
