I used to work at a warehouse where one part of my job was to make a few calls on a daily basis. One of the calls was to FedEx, to let them know I had packages waited to get picked up. I've had people hung up on me, laugh at me while on the other side of the phone, laugh to their colleagues, etcetera. Of course, this hurt. However the thing that helped me (and it is just recently that I discovered this) is that you can't control other people's thoughts and actions. So with this in mind, at times, I find it more easy to just focus on myself instead of on others and what it is they may think about me. (I hope this makes sense)
