I actually think most of us only 'block', and hardly ever stutt-ut-ut-er I think that (one of) the most annoying thing(s) about stuttering is that no one ever recognizes it as a stutter, and often people don't have a single clue why the hell I just stopped talking in the middle of a sentence (or why I didn't say a sentence at all). I have said it many many many times in this sub before and I probably won't ever stop saying it: just tell people you stutter. I can't really give you tips about how to get through the block, but I can give tips about how to handle the situation. here's a [link](https://www.reddit.com/r/Stutter/comments/8kkw7j/my_strategy_ive_been_using_for_quite_some_time/) to a post I once made about it, I hope it might help! > I recall being in speech therapy when I was younger, but whenever I was in session, I wouldn't stutter at all, which is odd. I never talked to someone about this issue, but it was the exact same for me! The most difficult situation for me is when you're in a group, and a lot of people are joking after one another, because then it's really difficult to be able to get in between. When I'm having a conversation with just one person I'm pretty much fluent. It's always better to have the feeling that no one is rushing to get your words out, and no one is going to interrupt you. Like with a speech therapist.
