I know there are people who recorded videos claiming they dont stutter anymore - those "success stories". The problem I have with those videos is that they are recorded by people in their safe environments after like 1 month of "not stuttering". I can also record myself in my home speaking fluently (+ you have already said that people dont stutter alone). Call me a nonbeliever but life and experience just taught me to demand strong evidence when strong claims are being made. All I'm saying is that it would be much more convincing if they recorded themselves speaking in stressful environments, during phone calls, presentations, asking strangers questions, ordering food etc. It should be a mandatory or even main part of those videos. That and follow up videos on their progress. Well, you don't stutter more after weightlifting (lucky you!) but I do so I don't know what to tell you. In my case it's not a theory but a fact. Which is also sad since the general belief is that exercise should improve your speech, make you feel better, less anxious etc. I didn't cure my stutter because I don't believe it can be cured. After all those years of trying I simply lost all the hope.
