Haha, I completely agree. Everyone has their own approach and attitude. For some, being upfront with their stutter is a relief and helps them relax. For others, (like us) that somehow causes more friction and anxiety in our daily life. I find peace and positivity in working toward fluency. Trying new techniques and not letting my stutter define me as a person. There is no wrong or right way to go about it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. At the end of the day it’s YOUR life; YOUR journey and only YOU know what works best for you.
