I'll just throw it a guess here. My native language is English and I studied Spanish in highschool. I wasn't great, but decent. I stuttered a lot more though. I've done speech therapy in English but not Spanish. I can't help but wonder if it would make a difference. I think the level of experience speaking and practicing in a language could be very different.
