You are mistaken. Everyone has a range of emotions: and does not have to be a dormat. And yes, making fun on one's wife's disability will provoke anger, and maybe a punch in the face. Yes, one punch would have been legal. But it did not come to that. Discrimination against a disability, a hostile McD's environment are real things.
