My 2 cents: I'm 48, been stuttering since age 5. I have a BS in Psychology, MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and I'm a National Trainer. I went from 0% fluency to 85% fluency. I am happily married for 24 years with 1 son (16 years old). I reached a point in my life that I don't give a 💩 what people think of my stutter. I took back the power and now I'm in charge, NOT my stutter. I've had to work 5x harder than everyone else and now I'm living my best life. I disclose to everyone I meet and then I move on. I find myself educating people on what Stuttering is so that they understand what I am going through. Through education comes compassion and empathy (not sympathy). I believe that you can do it, just believe it yourself. I am at a pivotal point of my life that I created a YouTube channel and podcast to let other people who stutter know that they are not alone. We are all in this together and if we can support one another (like in this chat room), we can move past these challenges. Good luck to you.
