I would love to talk about my day, Or the dreams I wish to attain, There are many things I’d like to say. There are several hardships I want to convey, Sometimes, all I want is to complain, But you’ll have to wait; my voice is on delay. I would love to laugh at your disarray, And tell you jokes until you’re numb in the brain, There are many things I’d like to say. For the moments we want to replay, Like the time we sang and drank champagne, You’ll have to wait; my voice is on delay. Even when we are old and gray, My love for you will be simple to explain, There are many things I’d like to say, But you’ll have to wait; my voice is on delay.
