That’s nuts. I functionally stutter and work in management. We had a kid with a pretty bad stutter who we hired as a prep guy at my last restaurant gig. There was an emergency spot open for a line cook, he was available and nailed it. He ended being one of our favorites because of how hard working and available to fill shifts he was. Upper management was super bummed when he quit. I can’t believe how unwilling people are to hire you just based on your speech. When you do interviews, do you mention being willing to stage to show what you can do? A good stage can change a first impression pretty significantly.
