It’s a simple fact that stuttering (or any apparent disability) DOES affect your chance at getting a job / raise / promotion / etc. Whoever says otherwise is wrong, unless they can “hide” their stutter enough to pass a fluent. I had to quit a prior job because they required us to start calling leads for a logistics brokerage. I was the warehouse inventory manager, which was perfect for my speech issues. That being said, I had that warehouse inventory manager job for many years. It was awesome and I didn’t have to embarrass myself much. It also paid close to 6 digits, without a college degree. There ARE jobs for us. With everything being shipped instantly nowadays, EVERY larger business has a warehouse and inventory. Those jobs are plentiful and if you can do math and a little tech, then you CAN move up and make a decent living. Just be better than the fluent person next to you.
