I only stutter in English in my normal accent. If I use a fake accent or speak a second language, I'm fine. I can speak 5 languages. English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, and Spanish. Growing up in Canada I only spoke Punjabi in the household and even I started school my English was terrible up until age 6-7. At age 12 I developed a stutter in English. I notice that it'll be worse when I'm tired, didn't get any sleep, or dehydrated. And the stutter usually happens when I'm speaking fast. It's rare for me to stutter at the beginning of a sentence. I learnt Spanish in high school, and later learnt Hindi and Urdu since they are very similar to Punjabi and eachother. Recently I was taking some voice acting classes I realized that I only stutter in English in my normal accent. If I put on a fake accent (for example, British or American South), I don't really stutter. I also don't stutter in any other language. Odd.
