Was recommended prolongation speaking in therapy Hi All, I was advised to speak in prolongation technique in speech therapy . I tried it while both reading from a book & in conversation. I am able to have almost zero blocks when using this technique (I am sure same will happen if I use in real life conversations) But I just feel too awkward to talk in prolongation technique in real life conversation, like just dragging each word feels so wierd & people might look at you with wierd looks which adds to more awkwardness. Anyone did prolongation in real life conversations ?
