To you, your stutter is the biggest thing - it's probably your first and last thought of the day, and the thing that crosses your mind more than any other. But to a friend or partner, it's really not that much of a thing. I used to worry about it being a turn off for whoever I might think about dating. But now I'm married with two sons and a wife who only notices my stutter if it's really bad, and then only reacts by reaching for my hand or asking if something's stressing me out. To other people it's not that big a deal.
