is adult speech therapy worth it? i'm 21 and i've been stuttering for most of my life. i went to speech therapy when i was in elementary school, but i stopped going once i hit middle school. my stutter has been getting progressively worse since late high school, and now i can't go a few sentences in a conversation without getting stuck on a block or repetition and getting frustrated. i've been toying with the idea of finding a speech therapist in my area, but i'm not sure if it's worth it? my stutter isn't extremely severe, but it definitely impacts my daily life and relationships with others. i just wanted to know if anyone's had good/bad experiences in speech therapy as an adult, or has advice in general?
